Our Client is currently looking for an experienced Design and Build Coordinator This role will involve the following
Pre and Post-contract work.
Responsible for the co-ordination of the design process on several D&B Projects.
Role includes chairing regular design team meetings, preparing & monitoring design*procurement schedules and programmes, monitoring the receipt, status & distribution of drawings, checking drawings for compliance with ER`s etc.
Role requires external liaison with Employer`s Agents, Architects, Structural Engineers, M&E Engineers and Subcontractors having design responsibility.
Internal liaison with Project*Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors.
Requires good understanding of the pre and post-contract design process, building regulations and the planning process.
This contractor has grown from its beginning in 1972 to the major national presence it is today, with an Ј180 million turnover and staff of 300. The company forms part of a Group whose turnover will rise to Ј350 million in the year 2005*06.
They operate through three distinct specialisms, Contracting, Retail*Frameworks and Small Works, providing a national service which is recognised by the many blue chip companies with whom they work.
